Dear EnergyScope Community,

We hope you had (or are still enjoying) a great summer break!

The Technical Committee is back in action, and it’s time for round two: the second EnergyScope Symposium.

:date: When & Where

Thursday–Friday, 16–17 October 2025

EPFL – Campus Energypolis, Sion (Valais, Switzerland)

(Google Maps still shows a construction site, but don’t worry—the buildings have been there since 2020 :wink:)

This year’s theme is “Back to the Roots.”

We’re heading to the Swiss mountains, where EnergyScope first saw the light over a decade ago. After Zürich raised the bar for hospitality, it’s now Valais’ turn—expect mountain-style warmth, maybe some cheese, apricots, and a few (true or not-so-true) stories from the early days.

  • Plenty of chances to meet, exchange ideas, and spark collaborations
  • Updates on the models and tools you use (or want to use)
  • Keynotes and talks—from cutting-edge research to real-world applications
  • And of course: good food, Alpine views, and unexpected moments together

EnergyScope is not a closed club. If you know someone who should join—or who could bring fresh ideas—please invite them. The more brains and energy, the better (“plus on est, plus on rit,” as we say).
